Documentary Producer / Director
Courtney Engelstein has worked in film and television production for over 10 years, moving from the art department on Hollywood movies to producing and writing for hit cable documentary programs.
She spent 2 years in Thailand working on character driven documentary programs that profiled people living with HIV/AIDS. Since moving back to the States, her interest in social issue filmmaking led to work with filmmakers like Jonathan Stack and Jennifer Dworkin.
She has produced, directed and shot history, science, crime, and verité programming at prestigious companies and for various outlets, including Discovery, PBS, National Geographic, and NBC's Peacock Productions. She has recently completed a short animated documentary on one man's experience with addiction.
